A new network
I have had a Netgear WNR3000L Wireless Router for several years and it was starting to have some issues. The wireless network would just disappear several times a day, and rebooting the router was the only fix. That router is open-source capable, so I'd tried the DD-WRT and TomatoWRT firmwares in addition to the stock image. Switching the image didn't seem to help, so I suspect there was some failing hardware inside.
Extracting posts from a Ghost blog as Markdown files
Part of migrating to a new system is migrating data/content from the old. This is a quick "How to" post documenting how I exported old posts from my outdated Ghost blog for import into my current Wyam-based blog.
A New Stack
After messing around with the Ghost blog engine and Node.js, I knew I wanted a new technology stack. My daily work is typically in .NET, so that was preferrable. Playing with and learning Node.js was fine, but I found that having the learning curve between me and writing kept me from writing.
